Bukit Merah Orang Utan Island is a mere 3-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur, 45-minutes from Ipoh, and 35 minutes away from Penang. Strategically located just off the North-South Highway, it is easily accessible from major highways and airports in Malaysia.

Upon your arrival at the resort, make your way to the Marina Village, where one of our Lake Cruisers will ferry you to the Orang Utan Island via a 10-minute boat ride. Boats are available between 9am to 5pm every 30 minutes on weekends, and every 45 minutes on weekdays.

Once on the island, your orang utan journey will begin on a 100-meter steel cage tunnel, which will lead you to their lush home. Here, you will get an up-close and personal look at how they live and interact with their surroundings and each other.
